Mariah Stuart is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience in mental health care. She received her undergraduate and Master of Social Work degree from the University of Denver with a concentration in Children and Youth: Risks and Healthy Development. Throughout her career, Mariah has worked in a diverse range of settings including schools, residential mental health care facilities, and hospitals. Locally, Mariah trained in the Adams County School District and Outpatient Psychiatry department at Children’s Hospital Colorado. After becoming a licensed provider, Mariah helped establish and build programming for Flourish Psychology (formally known as Empower Centers of Excellence in Family Behavioral Health). In this capacity, she worked as the Director of Operations, contributed to anxiety programs, provided individual therapy, and trained rising social work professionals.
As a clinician, Mariah is passionate about applying evidence-based practices to treat anxiety, specific phobias, and obsessive-compulsive disorders. She also has extensive experience treating tics, school refusal, sleep difficulties, and ADHD. Her approach always integrates parental collaboration and support to best optimize treatment outcomes. Her primary modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, SPACE and Habit Reversal Training. She has also been trained in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics, and is a contributing member of the International OCD Foundation.
